The Perfect Prenatal Smoothie
Whether you are pregnant or not, this smoothie will give you a boost of nutrients needed energize your body when you are in need of a pick me up. I was in a time crunch the other day and used it as a meal supplement. It kept me feeling full and bought me the few hours I needed before I could make a meal. And #MauriceMarcelthedog was happy because it meant he got a few more minutes added onto his walk before I had to run out the door!
It’s packed with the things you need for to fuel your body during pregnancy: iron, folic acid, protein, fiber and calcium (to name a few). It’s low in sugar and high in essential vitamins and minerals.
Bonus: it’s a breeze to prepare!
This will seriously take you less than 5 minutes to prepare.
Spinach, Avocado, Almond Butter Smoothie
- 2 handfuls of spinach
- 1 cup of almond milk
- 1 heaping spoonful of almond butter
- 1 handful of ice cubes
- 1/2 banana
- 1 avocado
- a drizzle of honey
- a spoonful of hemp seeds
- 1 tsp of vanilla
Add all ingredients into a high powered blender. Blend on high for 45 seconds and enjoy!
