I’m officially into my 5th month of breast feeding and like most BF mom’s I’m starving ALL. THE. TIME.  I cook dinner nearly every night and am always sure to save leftovers to have on hand for lunch the following day…but that’s not enough.  I’m pretty much munching all day long and need quick, easy snacks to keep my energy up for taking care of a 5 month old AND getting my workouts and clients in.

Here’s a list of what I’ve been living on.  (This was pretty much my list during pregnancy as well.)

  • Bananas with peanut butter
  • Oatmeal “sundae”
  • Full fat Greek yogurt “sundae”
  • Avocado toast with nutritional yeast
  • A bowl of arugula with olive oil, sunflower seeds, nutritional yeast and a fried egg
  • String cheese (5 yr old comfort food)
  • Lara bars (love these for their all real food ingredients)
  • Raw trail mix
  • Apples with cheese or nut butter
  • Hard boiled eggs
  • Toast topped with yogurt, honey and raw coconut
  • A egg on anything
  • Coconut water (electrolytes!)

  • Smoothies (a hand full of greens, whatever fruits I have on hand, mixed with almond milk, coconut water or Greek yogurt)
  • Scrambled egg on toast with a handful of greens and mayo 😛  Comfort food from growing up
  • Veggies and Hummus
  • Homemade popcorn, popped with a bit of olive oil and topped with nutritional yeast

And condiments!  I’m a HUGE fan of nutritional “boosters” that can be added to any and all of the above:

  • raw coconut
  • raw nuts
  • seeds
  • raisins
  • hemp
  • ground chia
  • ground flax seeds
  • honey
  • goji berries
  • powdered maca root
  • bee pollen
  • coconut oil
  • peanut butter
  • almond butter
  • sunflower seed butter
  • nutritional yeast
